Sample Local Award-Winning Wines at the Harvest Wine Festival
Sample more than 100 different New Mexico wines at the Harvest Wine Festival, Saturday, Sept. 4 to Monday, Sept. 6 from noon to 6 p.m. each day at the Doña Ana County Fairgrounds. The wine festival will feature ongoing tastings, opportunities to buy wine by the glass, bottle, or case, craft and food vendors, and live music.
As part of the admission cost, attendees will receive a commemorative wine glass, all-you-care-to-sample wine tastings as well as $5 off a bottle of wine of their choice. Tickets are $10 for designated drivers, $30 for single day admission on Saturday or Sunday, $25 for single day admission on Monday, $50 for two single day tickets on Saturday or Sunday and $45 for two single day tickets on Monday.
Participating wineries include: Amaro Winery, DH Lescombes, Sheehan Winery, Jaramillo Winery, Noisy Water Winery, Heart of the Desert, La Esperanza Vineyard, Black’s Smuggler Winery, Ponderosa Valley Vineyard, Luna Rossa Winery, Tularosa Winery, Shattuck Vineyard, and Wines of the San Juan.
A New Mexico staple, Hatch chile is loved by locals and visitors alike. Celebrate this year’s harvest Saturday, Sept. 4 and Sunday, Sept. 5 at the Hatch Chile Festival in the Village of Hatch. Just 40 minutes outside of Las Cruces, the festival in Hatch will feature food vendors, entertainment, a parade and carnival, as well as contests. Participants can observe chile roasting and enjoy the distinct smell and taste of freshly roasted chile.

Enjoy Local Art, Entertainment and Culture at the Franciscan Festival of Fine Arts
Back for its 16th year, the Franciscan Festival of Fine Arts will take place Saturday, Sept. 4 and Sunday, Sept. 5. Browse and shop for jewelry, art, quilts and more, while listening to live music and enjoying local beer and wine from Spotted Dog Brewery and Mesa Vista Winery. The festival will feature over 75 vendor and food booths, as well as a raffle and silent auction.
Held at the Holy Cross Retreat Center in Mesilla Park, the event is a fundraiser for the Province of Our Lady of Consolation and benefits programs that help those in need.
