A Collection of Spanish Colonial Artwork for Sale
An art show embodying the Spanish heritage of New Mexico will be held at the Hotel Encanto de Las Cruces on February 21-22, 2015. The Las Cruces Spanish Market will host a collection of artwork created by approximately 40 artists from throughout New Mexico.
The market will offer a variety of traditional Spanish colonial artwork such as tinwork, colcha, retablos, straw-work, weaving, jewelry, filigree, pottery, ironwork and carving, and other items.
Admission to the Las Cruces Spanish Market will be $5 per person, or $8 per couple. Children 12 and under will be admitted free of charge.
The Spanish Colonial Arts Society, based in Santa Fe, is the primary sponsor of the Las Cruces Spanish Market and operates traditional markets in Santa Fe and Albuquerque. The society was founded in 1925 and held its first market in Santa Fe in 1926.
