Leasburg Campground has 24 developed campsites (some with electric hook-ups), shelters, grills, fire pits, picnic tables.  The campground has drinking water, flush toilets, a playground, group picnic shelter, cactus garden and an RV dump station.

Leasburg Dam features a 140-acre fishing lake straddling both sides of the Rio Grande near historic Fort Selden Historic Site. The Park offers year-round camping, picnicking and bird watching, as well as fishing, canoeing and kayaking in the Rio Grande from mid-March to mid-October. Nearby Fort Selden has a museum and trails at the site of a 19th-century army outpost.

KOA of Las Cruces is conveniently located one mile from Interstate 10, overlooking Las Cruces and the scenic Mesilla Valley. Many upgrades have taken place over the last year, including wi-fi, paved streets and a playground. Sierra Vista Campground 1Dispersed Camping

Much of the public land that surrounds Las Cruces is managed by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and is open for dispersed camping only if it does not conflict with other authorized uses. One popular site for dispersed camping near Las Cruces is located at the Sierra Norte Trailhead (Sierra Vista Trail). Please follow leave no trace principles and avoid ground fires when camping on public lands. Check with the BLM Las Cruces District Office for details and limitations on dispersed camping throughout the Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks and Prehistoric Trackways National Monuments.
