With warmer winter temperatures, sprawling wide-open spaces, exquisite scenic views, and excursions for outdoor enthusiasts of all levels of expertise, Southern New Mexico is the ideal destination for a unique getaway or weekend trip.
After a day of exploring, unwind and refuel at one of the many local restaurants, breweries and wineries, and enjoy a stay at one of the unique lodging areas throughout Southern New Mexico. Communities also offer a wide array of locally owned boutiques, gift shops, and art galleries to pick up a souvenir from your trip.

Visit any of the outdoor spaces, restaurants, breweries, wineries, shops, local businesses, museums or hotels in participating communities. Next, take a photo at your location and post it to Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #ScenicSouthernNM2023 to be entered to win swag, gift cards, attraction passes, and more. With weekly giveaways, as well as a final grand prize package, you’ll have multiple opportunities to win.
Contest is open between Monday, Jan. 30 and Tuesday, Feb. 28. Photos submitted after the closing date will not be entered.
Posted photos must be set to public to ensure entries can be seen. Winners will be chosen at random, with several small prizes from individual communities and a grand prize package.
Prize winners will be drawn at random at the end of the contest period. There is no cost to participate in the contest, and it is open to any person over the age of 18. Submitted photography will be utilized by Visit Las Cruces and participating communities with photo credit in social media postings and various promotions.
