Event Details

This is what the caption on their facebook page says. I couldn’t find this in the actual city website: Día de los Muertos, also known as Day of the Dead, is a celebration in which we honor those who have passed. This year, the museum invites the community to set up altars for their loved ones in the museum courtyard and celebrate the reunion with family members and friends. Throughout the week, the visitors of the museums can see and appreciate the beautiful altars. Join us on the first Friday night of November for music, Folklorico dancing, and DIY sugar skull ornaments!

Altar Set Up: Tuesday, Nov. 1 from 10am-12pm
Celebration: Friday, Nov. 4 from 5pm-7pm
Altar Teardown: Saturday, Nov. 5 from 10am-12pm

Due to limited spacing, free registration is required to set up an altar at the museums. Festivities do not require registration. For more information, please contact Elizabeth Montoya at emontoya@las-cruces.org.
