Thomas Rhett is married to Lauren Akins, whom he has known since first grade.
Fact #3: A Song About His Wife!
A tender, personal song written about his wife, “Die a Happy Man,” topped the charts for six weeks, earning awards from the CMA, ACM and Billboard Music Awards along the way.
It reached at number one on the Country Airplay, Hot Country, and Canada Country chart in December 2015 and January 2016. It stayed at number one on the Country Airplay chart for 8 weeks, becoming the second song in the chart’s history to do so.
Fact #4: Like Father…
Thomas is country music legacy!
His father is Thomas Rhett Akins, Sr. is an American country music singer and songwriter too.
Signed to Decca Records between 1994 and 1997, he released two albums for that label (1995’s “A Thousand Memories” and 1996’s “Somebody New”), followed by 1998’s “What Livin’s All About” on MCA Nashville.
Fact #5: The Tour
“Life Changes” is his ninth concert tour!
His first one was “Own the Night” tour with Lady Antebellum in 2012.
