Mesilla Valley Corn Maze & Fall Festival

Plan your visit to the Mesilla Valley Corn Maze for a day of unforgettable adventure and fun! Each weekend in October, activities include face painting, pumpkin painting, giant slides, duck races, hamster wheels, hayrides, live music, a tug of war and numerous contests, including hula hoop and a stick-horse rodeo.
Special events during the Fall Festival (October 7-8) include corn gobbler, watermelon wipeout, mom calling and coloring contests, a pumpkin pie eating contest and goblin egg gourd hunt, great pumpkin drop and so much more. There’s also the 20-acre pumpkin patch, where thousands of pumpkins are grown year and are available for purchase.

New Mexico Pecan Festival

Go nuts this October! The New Mexico Pecan Festival draws visitors from all corners of the country to celebrate the pecan, a famous nut that’s commonly used in the Southwest. From salads to pecan pies, the many versatile uses of the nut are on display at the festival, with attendees able to sample different varieties that have a unique taste.

Friday the 13th Doña Ana County Courthouse Lockdown

Kick off the spooky season on Friday the 13th! Join the Paso Del Norte Paranormal Society in a lockdown in the Doña Ana County Courthouse. Jail doors bang and voices echo in empty rooms, down darkened corridors as we explore this historic building. Note: Space is limited; tickets must be purchased in advance!

Pumpkin Patch Splash

Enjoy the season while staying cool! The City of Las Cruces Parks & Recreation Department will hold its annual Pumpkin Splash Patch for kids ages 4 to 12 to pick out a pumpkin from the “water pumpkin patch” and decorate it for Halloween. The event also includes other Halloween-themed activities and music. Children must be accompanied by an adult during the event, and parents of non-swimmers must accompany their children in the water. There will also be Halloween-themed activities and music.

Día de Los Muertos

Celebrate the Day of the Dead with music and food in Historic Mesilla! Join the candlelight procession as the dead are remembered, including homemade altars on display and a giant piñata. Then, don’t miss the November 2 procession from the Plaza to the cemetery.
